Exproject Ring TA06 Time-alignment spacer ring for speakers
Purpose
The Exproject Ring TA06-06 is a high-quality 3D-printed spacer ring designed for time alignment between mid-bass and tweeter drivers. This facilitates the design of the crossover filter and ensures that the sound from the drivers reaches the listener simultaneously, guaranteeing excellent step and impulse responses—crucial for achieving authentic, realistic sound reproduction.
The Exproject Ring TA06-06 is compatible with the following SB Acoustics drivers:
SB17CRC35
SB17MFC35
SB17CAC35
SB17NBAC35
SB17NRX2C35
SB17NRX2L35
Mounting Method
The Ring TA06 is designed for mounting via four through-holes, securing it to the speaker enclosure with screws. It features a recessed seat (chamfer) that accommodates the driver; the driver is then screwed directly into the ring, which includes reinforced mounting holes for 3.5–3.9 mm screws. The installation is robust, reliable, and airtight, thanks to a dedicated gasket channel located beneath the ring.
The inner profile of the ring is acoustically shaped to ensure that any frequency amplification caused by the ring's dimensions does not interfere with the driver's linear performance.
The Ring TA06 features a slight 3-degree upward tilt—an acoustic design choice that facilitates better integration between drivers, particularly when using lower-order crossovers.
